The Ontario County Democratic Committee shared the following on March 6, 2026
Midterms are coming and now is the time to sign a petition. Your hard-copy signature is the only way we can get many of our candidates on the ballot in November, and only registered Democrats can sign at this time. But if you’re with another party, or you’re out of town this month, you’ll have other opportunities to sign other petitions later in the spring.
Ontario County Democrats are holding signing drives in their communities in public spaces and in their homes. Some of us can arrange to meet you for a signature, too. Please click here and sign up on the Ontario County Democrats page on Mobilize for events in your area.
Local Democratic Committee members will ask for your signature so they can continue to represent your village, town, or city at the County level.
Click here to see or contact your local rep for more information on petitioning, too.
County Treasurer: Julio Chavez-Olivera

NYS Senate 54 has two candidates. If both get the required number of signatures there will be a primary to see which will be on the Democratic line on the ballot in November:

· Michael Mills (more on Michael here)
We also have two candidates for Congress NY 24, which runs from Watertown to Lockport. We affectionately call this the Lake District. If both get the required number of signatures there will be a primary to see which will be on the Democratic line on the ballot in November.

· Diana Kastenbaum (more on Diana here)
